Liverpool will be breathing a sigh of relief after Mohamed Salah has been left out of Egypt's squad following the Reds' request to rest the forward.

    WHAT HAPPENED?

    Egypt initially called up the 31-year-old for theinaugural Winsunited Cup between March 22-26, featuring the Pharaohs, Croatia, Tunisia, and New Zealand. However, the former Roma man is not in their 25-man squad for the tournament – something Liverpool will be relieved about as he comes back from a hamstring injury.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    With Salah returning to first-team action in midweek, Liverpool have received a huge boost for the final months of the season. The Egyptian star was injured during the Africa Cup of Nations in January so having him with the Reds is a big win for Jurgen Klopp's side – especially as they bid to win a historic quadruple.
